CLOONLYON MAST GETS GO AHEAD DESPITE OPPOSITION

Despite major opposition from locals, permission has been granted to erect a phone mast in Cloonlyon, Ballygar.

O2 Communications was originially given permission to put up the 36 metre mast at a Coillte site by County Planners.

Locals opposed to the mast appealled the decision to An Bord Pleanála, but were unsuccessful.
