CLIFDEN THIRD HIGHEST DRIVING TEST PASS RATE IN COUNTRY
Date Published: 27-Aug-2012
Clifden driving test centre has the third highest pass rate in the country.
The Irish Independent says a report by the Road Safety Authority reveals Clifden has a 65 point 94 pass rate.
Fourth on the list is Galway with a pass rate of 64 point 59 percent, while Tuam is 10th on the list with a 61 point 53 percent pass rate.
Ennis has the highest pass rate – at almost 68 per cent.
The RSA has defended the figures – saying they are in line with other countries and depend on the number of people tested which can vary greatly between test centres.
And it says the introduction of mandatory driving lessons is expected to significantly improve pass rates.
