CLAREGALWAY TO REMAIN OPEN FOR BUSINESS DURING MAJOR PIPE LAYING

FOLLOWING meetings with the contractor involved in major pipe laying in Claregalway a local councillor says traffic disruption will be kept to a minimum and the aim is to have some of the work done at night time.

But some of the pipe laying is set to commence this Monday from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm each day and this will cause some traffic delays over the next three months.

Local Councillor Jim Cuddy says, that while the aim is to keep traffic delays to a minimum, motorists should allow extra time for jounreys on the N17 and N18 if passing through Claregalway during those times.
