CLAREGALWAY RESIDENTS WITHOUT WATER TWICE THIS WEEK

Residents and businesses in parts of the Claregalway and Castlegar area are without water for the second time in two days following another burst water main on the N17.

The water main burst at Galway Corinithians rugby club on the N17 last night, just half a mile from the same section it burst on Tuesday afternoon.

Areas affected include Parkmore, Polkeen, Cloonacauneen, Rockwood/Kiltullagh and Cloon.

A spokesperson for Galway county council says that water should be restored to all affected areas by this afternoon.
