CLAREGALWAY CASTLE RESTORATION STALLED

Ongoing efforts to restore Claregalway Castle to it’s former glory have been stalled.

Galway County council has refused owner Dr Eamonn O’Donoghue permission to retain a special roof feature which would have cast it in the likeness of Bunratty Castle.

He now has the option of appealing that decision to An Bord Pleanala.
