CLAMPDOWN ON DERELICT SITES IN BALLINASLOE

Owners of derelict sites in Ballinasloe could now face a large fine if they fail to clean up their properties this week’s meeting of the Town Council was told.

Councillors heard that while little progress had been made since the town had introduced a register in 1981 under the derelict sites act a clampdown is imminent.
