CIVIL MARRIAGES MOST POPULAR OPTION FOR COUPLES IN THE COUNTY

Civil marriages have become more popular in the county area of Galway than traditional Roman Catholic ceremonies.

That’s according to the latest figures released by the Central Statistics Office.

The number of marriages registered in the city in 2007 was 447 while a total of 792 were recorded in the county.
