CITYLINK TO APPEAR BEFORE OIREACHTAS COMMITTEE OVER GALWAY DUBLIN DIRECT ROUTE
Date Published: 11-Nov-2009
Representatives from bus company, Citylink, are to appear before the Oireachtas Transport Committee next week over what’s claimed are unlicenced routes.
A row broke out last month, when rival bus company GoBus lodged a complaint against Citylink for operating a direct service between Galway and Dublin.
The Department of Transport ordered Citylink to stop operating the direct service to Dublin claiming it’s not licenced.
Galway West T.D Frank Fahey has confirmed that Citylink representatives will appear before the Transport Committee next Wednesday.
This follows a request by Deputy Paul Connaughton and it’s understood Citylink will be questioned about the unlicenced route between Galway and Dublin.
