CITYLINK DEFENDS DIRECT BUS SERVICE FROM GALWAY TO DUBLIN

Private bus operator, Citylink, says it will not cease operating a direct service from Galway to Dublin, despite an order by the Department of Transport.

The Department of Transport has contacted Gardaí about prosecuting Citylink for refusing to stop operating the direct route, which it says is unlicenced.

Citylink argues that the service is licensed as it’s a variation of an existing service.
