CITY WOMAN CRITICAL AFTER CRASH ON ATHENRY TO DERRYDONNELL ROAD

A 24 year old Galway woman is in a critical condition this morning after a single vehicle crash on the Athenry to Derrydonnell road last night.

Emergency services were called to the scene at Newford shortly after midnight

The woman was seriously injured when her car overturned and ended up in an adjacent field

Athenry fire brigade had to use specialized cutting equipment to release the woman from the vehicle.
