CITY WOMAN APPEARS IN COURT OVER ALLEGED DRUG SMUGGLING

A Galway city woman, imprisoned in South America, for alleged drug smuggling appeared in court this week there this week.

23 year old Nicola Black, whose family address is at Bishop O’ Donnell road in the city, appeared in court in the Republic of Suriname earlier this week.

Nicola Black was arrested in the South American State of Suriname over three months ago when she was boarding a plane to Amsterdam.

Two packages of cocaine were allegedly strapped to the Galway woman’s thighs when she was arrested.

Nicola Black will remain in the Republic of Suriname pending the outcome of her court case which it’s believed will take about thirty days.
