CITY TEENAGER CHARGED WITH SETTING FIRE TO GARDA CAR

A Ballybrit teenager has been charged in connection with an arson attack on a Garda patrol car.

18 year old Darren Moran of 20 Rin Lia, Ballybrit is charged with setting fire to the driver and passenger seat of a Garda Ford Mondeo car last Sunday, December 7th at Rinn Lia.

Judge Fahy observed, Moran was back before the court with a number of new, serious charges even though she had given him a chance by deferring sentencing until after Christmas on older charges.

She remanded Moran in custody on the new charges before Galway District Court to next Monday December 15th, for the DPP’s directions.
