CITY TEEN WHO SMUGGLED DRUGS IN BRA AT COURTHOUSE GETS JAIL

A city teenager who smuggled drugs concealed in her bra into Galway Courthouse to give to a prisoner who was appearing before a court there, has been sentenced to six months in prison.

19 year old Natalie Holian of 27 Sliabh Rua, Ballybane, claimed she had been threatened by others to bring the drugs to court for the prisoner or else her brother, who is currently serving a sentence, and her younger siblings would be harmed.

Judge Mary Fahy said she had to send out a message to those who sought to use young people, that bringing drugs into a courthouse was a very serious offence which would not be tolerated.
