City sees 3 percent increase in house prices
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Median asking prices for houses in the city grew by 3 percent in the last three months.
According to MyHome.ie, the national average is up by 1.3 per cent between March and June – with Dublin up by 4.5 per cent.
In the city, median asking prices were up by 3 percent, the first positive quarterly growth since 2007, while in the county prices were unchanged.
The median price is the middle price and is thought to be more relevant than an average price.
The report’s authors say that while the recovery in national prices is encouraging – the gap between Dublin and the rest of the country is continuing to widen.
