Schools across the city have joined a campaign to save water.

The 38 Secondary and Primary schools are getting the amount of water used in their toilets halved as part of the city council’s Schools Water Conservation Programme.

It’s paying for most of the cost of attaching Mecon water saving devices to their school toilets.

Rainwater Butts are also being provided free of charge to collect water for gardening and outdoor cleaning purposes.
