City school seeks to change science building to nursing home

Galway Bay fm newsroom – A city school plans to change its science building to a nursing home.
St. Mary’s College at St. Mary’s Road has sought to change the use of the existing science building to Nursing Home accommodation.
This includes a three-storey rear extension and two-storey link to the existing nursing home and the demolition of the existing maintenance shed and handball alley.
The school has also applied to build a single-storey science and classroom block at the back of the existing building.
A decision is expected from the city planners in September.
