City rent for three bed house now stands at 800 euro

The rent for the same property in the county stands at 725 euro.

The figures which examine the third quarter of the year are compiled by the ESRI for the Private Residential Tenancies Board.

The study examines the city and the county and some of Galway’s county towns.

In Tuam, a 3 bed can be rented for 480 euro while in Gort the same property type can be rented for 524 euro.

In Oranmore, a three bed semi-detached house can be rented for just under 760 euro, while in Headford the same property can be rented for 783 euro.

The average standardised rent in Dublin in the third quarter of this year was 1,041 euro while outside the capital the average standardised rent nationwide was 620.
