CITY REGISTRATION SESSION FOR VOTING IN TREATY REFERENDUM

City residents who are not yet signed up to the electoral register for the upcoming referendum have a final opportunity to do so at city hall today [May 14].

Galway City Council is operating a one stop shop service from 9am until 4 this afternoon.

It’s the final day for applications to the supplemental electoral register.

Voters go to the polls on May 31st to vote on the EU Fiscal Treaty Referendum.

Meanwhile, the United Left Alliance is to launch its "no" campaign in the city today.

It takes place at 10.30 this morning at the Browne Doorway in Eyre Square.
