Survivors of sexual violence with a disability are more likely to have been subjected to a greater number of incidents compared to those with no disabilities.

That’s according to a Rape Crisis Network Ireland report that will be launched in NUI Galway later today. (20 June)

14 rape crisis centres, including Galway contributed to the report to produce the first detailed set of statistics on sexual violence against people with disabilities.

The report ‘ Sexual Violence against people with disabilities: data collection and barriers to disclosure’ will be launched at 5:30 in NUI Galway this evening.
