CITY PUBLICAN’S LICENCE ENDORSED FOR SERVING AFTER HOURS

A city publican who was convicted of allowing people to be on his premises after hours five weeks after being convicted of a similar offence, was fined €1,000 and had his publican’s licence endorsed at Galway District Court.
Patrick Connors, 51 Fr. Burke Road, Claddagh, who is licensee of the Westside Tavern in Westside, was not present in court last week when Garda Cathal Rodgers gave evidence of finding two people in the Westside Tavern at 2 a.m. on May 2 last, when closing time was 11 p.m.
