A funeral procession in protest at the Queen’s visit to Ireland took place in the city this afternoon.

The Galway Alliance Against War carried a symbolic coffin through the city before placing it in the River Corrib.

The organisation says it’s to remember the innocent victims they claim were killed by British troops in recent years.

A similar protest against Barack Obama’s state visit is due to take place on Saturday.
