CITY PRIEST CLAIMS ARCHBISHOP MARTIN IS UNDERMINING CHURCH

A city priest is claiming Archbishop Diarmuid Martin is undermining child protection measures within the church.

Fr Dick Lyng of the Augustinian church in the city was responding to Dr Martin’s recent speech in his weekend newsletter to parishioners.

The Archbishop said ‘dark forces’ were still at work within the church, who want the truth about clerical child abuse to remain hidden.

Fr. Lyng says such comments don’t help other Church leaders working to protect children.
