CITY POWERBOAT RACE TO ATTRACT 140 THOUSAND VISITORS

The off shore powerboat race in Galway city can now proceed as planned following last evenings decision to grant an outdoor licence.

City Councillors have given their full backing for the event which will take place between the June 5th and June 13th.

Around 140 thousand people are expected to attend next months power boat race which will have its race village area along the commercial dock area of the city.
