CITY PENSIONERS COULD LOSE OUT ON REFUSE COLLECTION WAIVER

A proposal to end the full waiver of the fixed charge for refuse collection is expected to be brought before the City council.

Councillor Brian Walsh says council officials are considering changing the entire waiver system.

If implemented, it could result in one in ten pensioners losing their refuse collection waiver by the end of the year.
