City Park ‘n’ Ride operating schedule reduced
Galway Bay fm newsroom – The city’s Park ‘n’ Ride facility is to have its operating hours and frequency of service reduced.
It’s part of a new summer schedule announced for the Carnmore Airport based facility.
The pilot service was introduced last month (May 13) to operate from Monday to Friday from 7.20 in the morning until 7 in the evening.
As part of a new summer schedule, this has now been reduced to operate from 7.40am to 6.30pm.
The frequency of service at peak times has also been reduced from 20 minutes to 30, while at non peak times, it has been reduced from 30 minutes to one hour.
CEO of Galway Chamber Michael Coyle says the uptake on the service has been lower than anticipated and the changes reflects the pattern of usage.
