CITY MEETING TO URGE BOYCOTT OF NEW HOUSEHOLD CHARGE

A meeting is being held in the city this evening calling on the public to boycott the new household charge which the Government plans to introduce in January.

It’s all part of a nationwide campaign of resistance being organised by the "No Household Tax Campaign" group.

They say this new tax is unfair and that the majority of families will refuse to pay it.

The meeting begins at 8pm in the Menlo Park Hotel.
