CITY MEETING ON NEED FOR NATIONAL STRIKE

A meeting is to take place in the city this evening (Thurs Dec 6) to discuss the need for a national strike.

The gathering is organised by the Galway branch of the Socialist Workers Party.

It takes place in Richardson’s Bar in the city and gets underway at 8pm.

Organiser Liam O’Grady says workers are struggling to cope with austerity measures and are now even more concerned following the detail revealed in this week’s budget.
