CITY MEETING ON EDUCATION CUTS

Saying no to further budget cuts in our schools is the focus of a meeting in the city tonight.

There’s speculation that December’s budget will reduce the amount of Government funding to schools and increase pupil teacher ratio.

The INTO believes this in turn will increase the number of children in each classroom, and put further demands on parents to fundraise.

Tonight’s meeting is part of the ‘Give kids their chance’ campaign and takes place at the Galway Bay Hotel in Salthill at 8 o’ clock.
