CITY MEDICAL DEVICES FIRM TO OPEN GALWAY EUROPEAN HQ

Tanaiste Eamon Gilmore is to officate an the opening of the new European Headquarters of city medical devices firm Delcath Systems this morning [Fri May 25].

The US firm set up a base in the IDA Business Park in Mervue last year [2011] where it currently employs 10 staff.

Delcath systems has developed a device to treat liver cancer and received authorisation to start trading in Europe last year.

It’s main headquarters is based in New York and the company also has a number of European training centres.
