City medical devices company opens China office

Galway bay fm newsroom – A city based medical devices company has announced the opening of a new office in China.

Creganna-Tactx medical is opening an office in Shanghai in a bid to forge deeper partnerships with its foreign and domestic customer base.

Creganna was founded in Galway in 1980 and three years ago acquired tactx medical.

It’s now ranked among the top 10 providers of medical device outsourcing solutions, and also has offices in California, Minesota, Singapore and Korea.

Over 800 people are employed by the company at its base in Parkmore west, which designs and manufactures miminally invasive medical devices.

It’s new office in Shanghai is being established to enable the company build on its existing presence in the market.

There are currently two local chinese staff employed in the office but this number is expected to grow in the coming months.
