A demonstration march will take place in the city at noon today [2/11] against the Government’s decision to pay 700 million euro to the unsecured bondholders of Anglo Irish Bank.

It’s part of a series of similiar marches taking place across the country.

A protest involving a small number of people took place in Clarinbridge yesterday, which delayed traffic for some time.

The Galway demonstration, largely organised by the ‘Occupy Galway’ movement, will gather at Eyre Square at noon , marching towards Anglo Irish Bank at Forster Street.
