City Manager to meet Failte Ireland re City of Culture bid

City manager Brendan McGrath is to meet with Failte Ireland early in the New Year to discuss Galway’s bid to become European City of Culture 2020

Mr McGrath told the budget 2014 meeting that while the competition will be stiff it is worthwhile making a serious and consolidated bid.

The manager said that he’s meeting the tourism body on January 9th to discuss the city of culture bid
