CITY MAN SENTENCED FOR ASSAULTING GARDA

A young City man currently serving a 19 month prison sentence has been further sentenced for assaulting a Garda.

19 year old Andrew O Hagan, of 83 Hazel Park, Newcastle pleaded guilty at Galway Circuit Court to assaulting the Garda at the Spanish Arch in April.

Judge Mary Fahy handed down sentences totalling five months on O’ Hagan to run from this week.
