City man pleads guilty to serious assault in Athenry
Galway Bay fm newsroom – A 25-year-old city man will be sentenced in January for assaulting another man near Athenry last year.
Thomas Donovan of 16 Bushy Park Lawn, Newcastle appeared before Galway Circuit Criminal Court.
He pleaded guilty to assaulting Jason Finn, causing him harm, at Castlepark, Kiltullagh, Athenry, on July 22 last yea.
His barrister, Aisling Wall, asked for an adjournment to give Donovan time to put things in order prior to sentencing.
Mr Justice Raymond Groarke adjourned sentence to January 23.
