CITY MAN FINED FOR ASSAULT ON TAXI DRIVER

A 24 year old city man has been fined for assaulting a female taxi driver and failing to pay his fare.

Aidan Mannion with an address at 49 Durabhán, Roscam was also charged with stealing the driver’s keys during the incident which took place on May 26th last year.

Mannion is charged with technically assaulting Big O Taxi driver Angela Gallagher by pulling the earpiece from her ear.

At Galway District Court, Mannion paid the 450 euro balance of an agreed compensation sum totalling 750 euro.
