City man awarded 310 thousand euro after suing private hospital
Galway Bay fm newsroom – A man who claimed inappropriate care in the days following an operation at a private hospital in Galway has been awarded 310 thousand euro.
65 year old Gerry Foley of Newcastle in the city went into the Bon secours for a hernia operation in August 2007.
He claimed he received inappropriate care and monitoring afterwards, and was later rushed to UHG for an operation to deal with peritonitis.
The Irish Independent reports Mr Foley sued Bon Secours health system limited trading as Bon Secours hospital Galway.
