City Hall approves retention of changes at Forster Street development

Galway Bay fm newsroom – An application to retain alterations at a city centre commercial block has been approved.
Odeon Co. Ownership has sought to retain changes to an existing building at 41 to 45 Forster Street.
Retention has been sought for the subdivision of ground floor to two office units as well as the change of use of a residential unit to form an extended medical unit .
City planners have granted retention approval subject to 8 conditions.
One stipulates that a contribution of over 13 hundred euro is made to the City Council towards the cost of public services.
The developer is also required to carry out any construction or demolition work between 9am and 6pm Monday to Friday and between 9am and 1pm on Saturday.
