Galway City Council is being urged to take immediate action to collect unused bins from the local authority’s refuse service.

Cllr Billy Cameron says the unused bins in question are from former customers who have moved to other providers.

He says they are causing a nuisance to neighbours and to traffic flow.

A spokesperson for Galway City Council says that refuse service personell have a list of former customers and are in the process of collecting the bins.
