CITY COUNCIL TO EXPLORE IDEA OF PUBLIC CREMATORIUM

City Manager Joe McGrath is warning that new cemeteries for the city may have to be located outside the city boundary

His warning comes as council officials search for new burial grounds with estimates that the existing city cemeteries will be full by 2011

The council is also to examine the feasibility of setting up a public run crematorium, which would be the first one for Galway
