CITY COUNCIL TENANTS TO BE INVESTIGATED ABOUT HORSE ABUSE

A city councillor is urging the Gardai and the local authorities to tackle the issue of horse abuse among city council tenants.

Councillor Niall McNeilis says the housing section of the city council must act now to protect citzens from wandering horses.

It’s after a horse was found dead within 20 metres of a children’s playground in the Glenbawn housing estate.

A resident is claiming to have seen the horse being manhandled by a number of people in the estate yesterday.

Galway Gardai attended the scene in Glenbawn last evening after they were alerted by concerned residents.
