CITY COUNCIL SLAMMED OVER PARKAVERA DISRUPTION
Date Published: 18-Apr-2008
The city council is being criticised for failing to protect city residents from severe disruption.
Councillor Colette Connolly says residents of Parkavera are woken up by JCB diggers and the unloading of waste bins as early as 6.15am.
She claims this is due to the Council’s failure to put in place planning conditions restricting the hours of operation on the site.
Representations were made to the developer by residents, and an agreement was reached that work would only commence at 8am.
They now claim that this arrangement has since been reneged on by the developer.
