CITY COUNCIL REVEALS GRIM FINANCIAL REPORT

The city council has released whats been dubbed ‘grim reading’ in it’s mid-year financial report.

There’s been a reduction of 100 staff at the council in the past 18 months, and they are currently €9 million in debt.

A further 12 staff are also expected to avail of the early retirement scheme and incentivised career break scheme, none of which will be replaced.
