CITY COUNCIL GIVING MIXED SIGNALS WITH DRAFT PLAN

Galway City Council is giving mixed signals with the Draft Development Plan for 2011-2017.

That’s the view of the West Residents’ Association who has made a submission on the new proposed City plan.

The Association cites the continued aim of the council to pedestrianise Small Square despite strong local opposition.

Local residents are concerned that such a move may lead to anti-social behaviour in the area.
