CITY COUNCIL DISMISSES CALL TO EXPAND BOUNDARY FOR NEW SUBURB

A call for the city boundary to be pushed out to include lands for the new suburb of Ardaun was shot down by the city council this week.

Labour Cllr Derek Nolan, who suggested the move, believes it doesn’t make sense to have the new suburb run by both the city council and the county councils.

In reply, city manager Joe McGrath advised the rest of the councillors against proposing any boundary change.
