CITY COUNCIL BEGINS EMERGENCY CALL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Galway City Council has implemented an after-hours emergency call management system.

The initiative comes amid criticism from Councillors that people who called the City Council outside office hours were advised to call 9 9 9 in case of an emergency.

City Council officials have now employed a call management company to cater for out-of-hours calls.
