CITY COUNCIL ASKED TO DEFER BRIARHILL WORKS

Galway city council is being called on to defer works on the Lynch roundabout in Briarhill.

Councillor Padraig Conneely says starting the works next week is ”madness” as it will only add to traffic congestion in the city.

The issue will be raised at tonight’s special meeting of the council called by Mayor Hildegard Naughton to address the traffic crisis of recent weeks since works in Newcastle began.
