CITY COUNCIL APPROVES VOLVO OUTDOOR EVENTS LICENCE

An outdoor events licence for the Galway Volvo Ocean Race finale has been approved by city councillors.

The festival which kicks off on June 30th is expected to bring more than 80 million euro into the local economy.

Head of Let’s Do It Global John Killeen addressed a meeting of Galway City Council last evening where transport and signage plans for the 8 day festival were discussed.
