City conference to debate gender-based violence

Galway Bay fm newsroom – A conference will be held in the city later today on standing up against gender-based violence.

The event is hosted by Amnesty International and will focus on the case of Mexican Miriam Lopez who was brutally raped and denied justice.

It will be addressed by a number of key speakers and takes place in room AC203 at NUIG at 6.30pm.
