CITY CLLRS EXPENSES PUBLISHED ONLINE

Details of Galway City Councillors salaries, expenses, meetings and conferences have been published online for 2012.

The breakdown on the City Council website shows the top earners as current Mayor Terry O’Flaherty and previous Mayor, Cllr Hildegarde Naughton.

The figures for 2012 show a basic pay allowance for councillors of just over 16 thousand 700 euro, subject to taxation.

Mayor Terry O’Flaherty also has a mayoral allowance of 24 thousand euro bringing her total including salary, allowances and conferences to over 49 thousand 600 euro.

This is followed by former Mayor Hildegarde Naughton who held the post from June 2011 to June 2012 and has a total figure of just under 49 thousand 400.

Cllr Nuala Nolan came in the lowest with a total of just over 24 thousand 700.
