CITY ALDI MANAGER GIVEN SUSPENDED SENTENCE FOR THEFT

A former assistant manager at an Aldi store in the city has been given a nine-month suspended sentence at Galway District Court for stealing cash from the store.

26 year old Amanda Clarke from Meelick, Eyrecourt, Galway, pleaded guilty to stealing €13,500 on July 24, 2007 when she was acting assistant manager at the store in Westside, Galway.
